According to Credit Suisse, the scale of global inequality has not decreased in recent decades, but has even increased. The latest technologies in the conditions of neoliberal capitalism do not solve the problems, but only deepen them.
We also observe a growing tendency for the lower middle class to slide into poverty. So the problem is measured not only by relative, but also by absolute indicators. During the crisis, it will deepen.
The idea that the “objective needs of society” will force the ruling classes to adjust the capitalist system is refuted not only by the logic of the same objective interests of the oligarchy, but also by practice. At the beginning of both the previous and the current crisis, the ruling classes panicked, calling almost for the introduction of socialism. However, as soon as the situation calmed down a little, they returned to the old policy and even intensified it.
A change of course can only happen through political struggle and the removal of the current elites from power. This is especially true for Ukraine.
